The Last Bell
We want to share with you one of our awesome traditions concerning the graduation from school! This day is usually called ‘The Last Bell’ and celebrated on the 25th of May because it is the end of the school year in every Kazakhstani school. It is a bittersweet day because our favorite students leave school forever.
We traditionally have a ceremony in front of our school and after all there’s a feast and some performances prepared by the grads.
One of the oldest traditions of ‘The Last Bell’ is dancing the school waltz. Of course, the time goes and we added some new dances into the program of the holiday. So our girls in addition to the waltz danced rock’n’roll, jazz, and folk dances.
Our English teacher Mrs. Bozhko played the role of Mary Poppins, the best nurse in the world who was very loved by the children for her support and knowledge.

It is always very sad to say goodbye but our students always know that they may come to see us whenever they want because our school doors and teachers’ hearts are opened for them.
Our grads are accompanied by the first – graders who have just come to school, a year ago. Usually all the parents and local authorities come to share this incredible moment with the grads.

Our seniors made thanking posters to every teacher which were accompanied by the songs. You can see the whole bunch of flowers which were given to the teachers and school administration, and, of course, their parents.
