Hello friends!
Our classes decided that we would show you what our community and state looks like. We collected pictures of our favorite places and added an explanation of why we like them.
The reason snowboarding is my happy place is because when I'm out on the snow nothing can bother me. I'm happy and my mind is clear and nothing can get going though my head. It's my place to get away and just have fun. ~ Donovan
The food at McDonald's tastes amazing! I eat 5 Big Macs and a large fry and I don't get sick! I love it! And I go there a lot, so I eat a lot of the food. ~ Aaron
The Auburn Public Library is my sanctuary. The peace and quiet in the building is so refreshing instead of the constant noise in the city. The library allows me to read actual books, and leave all technology behind. ~ Brianna
The place the picture was taken is at a Lewiston, Maine Somali store. I choose this picture because behind me are clothes that are part of my culture. This store is my favorite. I always love to go for fun!! ~ Fatumo
My favorite place is the Auburn Rec. They play indoor soccer there. You can perform really unique tricks in there and I have a lot of friends that go there. ~ Ahmed
My favorite place in Maine is Maranacook Lake. My family has a camp on the lake and some of the things we do there during the summer are: swimming, boating, and water tubing. In the winter we would go snowmobiling and ice skate on the frozen lake. ~ Kayla
"The reason why I picked this photo Is because my grandparents farm means a lot to our family, we get to have family gatherings at my grandparents house sometimes we even help out on the farm, this is where most of my childhood was spent." ~Ashely
The reason why I like the gym is because of the basketball hoops. I play basketball and I also play indoor soccer. ~ Maslah
I like Dunkin' Donuts because they have good coffee for a good price and they have good food. ~ Cameron
Two Lakes Campground is my favorite place to go. I've been going to Two Lakes Campground since I was a baby. We go every year I love to swim in the lake they also have a playground for younger children. ~ Makala

always leaving pretty happy after practice with my coaches and
